Silicone: The term “silicone” covers a large group of materials in which vinyl-methyl-silicone is often the central ingredient. Silicone elastomers as a group have many useful properties. Silicones have these great qualities: heat resistance, cold flexibility and ozone and weather resistance as well as insulating and physiologically neutral properties. Temperature range: –65° to 450° F (–54° to 232° C).

Chemical resistance: engine and transmission oil (e.g. ASTM oil no. 1); animal and vegetable oil and grease; brake fluid (non-petroleum base); fire-resistant hydraulic fluid, HFD-R and HFD-S; high-molecular-weight chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons (including flame-resistant insulators, and coolant for transformers); moderate water resistance; diluted salt solutions; ozone, aging and weather resistant. 

Fluorosilicone: Fluorosilicone contains trifluoropropyl groups and the mechanical and physical properties are very similar to silicone. However, fluorosilicone offers improved fuel and mineral-oil resistance but poor hot-air resistance when compared with silicone. Temperature range: –100° to 350° F (–73° to 177° C)

Chemical resistance: aromatic mineral oils (IRM 903 oil); fuels; low-molecular-weight aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene).

Our o-ring business encompasses everything from solenoid seals, gas cap rings, headlamp / tail lamp gaskets  to the smallest humidifier seals.  Our o-rings are shipped to the "Big 3" automakers and their tier 2 suppliers.

GRM produces a wide array of high temperature ADB's for the major suppliers of oil filters.  Our customers have included Purolator Products, Dana Canada, Wix Filters, Allied Signal and Champion Labs.

We make silicone gaskets and seals to protect circuit boards and processor chips from moisture, dust, heat and various types of fluids.

GRM's engineering facility excels in producing difficult applications such as three dimension seals with world class results.
Electronic Interfaces

These ultra thin (.010" - .015") electronic interfaces acts as a buffer between the switch and the contacts.  You can find these interfaces in Ford and Chrysler products.
